Together...We Will Not Forget...My name is Debbie Elam and I am the Chairman of the Virginia Memorial Quilt Project. Our group is making and presenting a numbered memorial quilt to the immediate family of each fallen hero since the 1983 attack on the Marine Barracks in Lebanon in and the Global War on Terror with ties to the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Hero may have been born, gone to school, lived in Virginia at sometime during their life or even trained for his military service in Virginia. We have a website at www.vmqp.com if you get a chance to see the quilts. We have honored 247 Virginia Gold Star Families with quilts as of this date. Please contact me via email ([email protected]) or phone at 804-397-5375 and I will get the information from you so we can send you a Memorial Quilt in honor of Hero. Thank you.Debbie Elam, Chairman Virginia Memorial Quilt Project P. O. Box 534Powhatan, VA 23139

Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Cyr Family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to troops in Afghanistan this week and we'll be dedicating several of these to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and the hometown of Brandon L. Cyr US Air Force Captain
. We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Brandon will never be forgotten.
For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I'm home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I'm only a civilian
And I don't even know if it's allowed
But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.
For those missing in action;
for those who didn't make it home.
I know you're in God's presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.
I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you .
I Salute You.

Captain Cyr,
You will always be remembered in the 126th FSS office. We will keep your bell on the customer service desk to be rung by all to remind us all of the times you stopped by just to say hi and put a smile on our faces. I will always remember our conversations about trips to Qatar. Rest In Peace and God Bless sir!

Capt. Cyr, we crossed paths only a handful of times...but I can remember everyone of them. You were absolutely always smiling. I remember when we made fun of all the post-it notes you kept on your computer monitor! You will be so very missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing you. I'm sorry that you left this world too soon. You will always be a hero of mine. Godspeed young Captain, I hope to see you again someday.
