David Baue

David Willard Baue, 67, of Sparta, Ill., born April 14, 1943, in Sparta, Ill., passed away at 2:46 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at Midwest Regional Medical Center in Zion, Ill.

David was a mechanic for Oakley Emergency Service, Inc. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Sparta, Ill., IL-MO Antique Engine Club, and a Pressman for Union Local No. 386.

David was preceded in death by his parents, William Edward Baue and Mae Alice, nee Hill, Baue; one sister, Margaret Wiley; and one brother, George A. Baue.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn, nee Hill, Baue of Sparta, Ill., whom he married on March 11, 1961, in Sparta, Ill.; two daughters, Barb Baue of St. Louis, Mo., and Jackie Lindenberg of Steeleville, Ill.; four granddaughters, Jennifer Lindenberg of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Heather Lindenberg of Steeleville, Ill., Erin Javurek of High Ridge, Mo., and Kristen Javurek of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; three brothers, Eddie Baue of Indianapolis, Ind., Robert Baue of Sparta, Ill., and Jim Baue of Sparta, Ill.; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and a special canine companion, Baleigh Jo.

David was so proud of his granddaughters for their accomplishments. Jenny is a RNBSN at Cape Girardeau, Mo., Heather is attending graduate school, Erin is in nutrition at St. Louis Community College and Kristen is attending Southeast Missouri State in Biology.

Visitation: Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, and from 7 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at Calvary Baptist Church, Sparta, Ill.

Funeral: Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at Calvary Baptist Church in Sparta, Ill., with the Rev. Tim McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow at Caledonia Cemetery in Sparta, Ill.
