David Frew Obituary

David Michael Frew

June 15, 1959 - October 27, 2024

Florissant, Missouri - David Michael Frew, aged 65, passed away on October 27, 2024, in Florissant, MO. Born on June 15, 1959, David was known for his generous spirit, humility, and warm heart. His laughter was infectious, and his ability to comfort and support those around him was unparalleled. An avid lover of the arts, David excelled in drawing and painting, often capturing the beauty of life in his works.

David graduated from BTHS West and built a successful career as a Mechanical and Quality Assurance Engineer. His professional achievements were many, but he always prioritized his family and friends over his accomplishments.

He was a devout member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Florissant, MO, where he participated actively in the community.

David is survived by his loving wife, Hilda (Medina) Frew; his father, John Wayne Frew; siblings, Steven Frew (Cindy Eugea), Brian Frew (Marcie Dumstorff), and Kathryn Mielke. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Kathryn Frew (Welch).

Services will be held on Thursday, November 7th, at 10 a.m. at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 1765 Charbonier Rd, Florissant, MO 63031. David's presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of kindness and creativity will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

I had the privilege of meeting David a handful of times during the holidays. His kind demeanor and warm smile left a lasting impression on me. He was always livening up the party with jokes and conversation. I continue to pray for your family and that he is resting and will continue to live on in all of his loved ones.

My condolences to Hilda, John, Steve, Brian and Katie. He was my best friend growing up, from living across the street to Emge and then West. He´s personality could fill a room, his laugh was infectious and his artistic talent immense. My life was made better by growing up with David.

Marcie and Brian,

So sorry for your loss. It's rough losing a sibling. I haven't talked to you in a long time, but I lost my youngest sister in 2013 and she was only 39. You're both very much on my mind.

My Uncle David was a great man whose presence would light up a room. He had such a positive and outgoing attitude, that I always remember during holidays you knew when David showed up from his booming laugh. He would crack a joke and liven up the party, changing it from a stuffy gathering to a festive event that no one would forget. (He also gave out the coolest gifts, hooked my brother and I up with the best video games.) I'm going to miss my Uncle David, and pray that he rests in peace, but I know his impact on the world won't ever be forgotten.
