Dorothy’s house was always an open house full of a potpourri of interesting people. She welcomed me when I was a stressed out student for which I am forever grateful. She lived an amazing life!

Dorothy had a long & eventful life. She was one of the first persons that I met when I moved to Mascoutah in 1962. Dorothy was kind to everyone & will be missed by a lot of people.

Dr. Dorothy was my second mom growing up. I'm so glad I got to sit and talk with her before my move. Thanks for that Nancy. And as always, I was still Tommy.

Dr. D was one of a kind and someone the City of Mascoutah will never experience again – she was so good to so many people, especially our family. While reconnecting with Dr. Bill, Jane, Alex and other family members and a multitude of friends, I’m sure she’s already learning all she can about Heaven and her new life. I never figured out what she loved more – learning or teaching – she was incredibly inspiring at both. And then there was her sense of humor and that deep laugh when she thought something was really funny. My heartfelt sympathy to Nancy, Mark, Sarah and the entire family, I will miss and remember her always.
