To those of you who mourn the loss of Ted:
Last night I had a long dream about Ted so decided to try and locate him via internet, and found his obituary. I am SO saddened to learn of his death. We both played in the orchestra at New Trier, and I was privileged to date him for a while. He was a wonderful young man; we were connected by our mutual love of music, and, yes, he tried to teach me to golf, also, to no avail. We exchanged letters during college and then eventually lost touch as our lives took different directions. I majored in music, became an orchestra teacher and taught in WI.
We will be moving to Door Cty. in May (now we are returning to FL as are snowbirds) but when we are packing in spring, I think I might have saved all or some of Ted's letters. If I locate them, I will copy and send as some of you may enjoy reading to get a peek into Ted's college life.
I am SO sad that we didn't reconnect as adults when he was still alive. It was wonderful to read about his full life in his obituary.
Sincerely and sorrowfully,
Judy Goodrich Mueller (New Trier class of '57)

TED & I BECAME FRIENDS WHEN I RETURNED TO WORK AT I.D.O.T. AFTER SERVING IN THE NAVY. FOR A PERIOD WE SHARED A HOUSE, DURING WHICH TIME I INTRODUCED JOSEPHINE TO HIM. FOR A TIME HE BECAME MY BOSS, AS WELL AS A FRIEND. THE ONLY FAILURE TED EVER HAD WAS TRYING TO TEACH ME HOW TO PLAY GOLF.

Ted and I were both very active members of the Belleville RC Club since 1979. He was instrumental in keeping the club functioning for all those years as a club officer and doing all of those other "things" that need doing in any organization. He will be sincerely missed. May he rest forever in the care of the Holy Father above.
