Collinsville, Illinois - Gordon McMaster, age 78, of Collinsville, IL, passed away on October 16, 2022, while on a cruise with his wife, Beverly.
He was born on June 14, 1944 in Oxford, England to the late Sidney and Beatrice, nee Wood, McMaster.
Gordon retired from Riteway Foreign Car Repair in Collinsville where he was the owner and operator for over 50 years. He married Beverly, nee Weinacht, on February 18, 1994. They enjoyed taking cruises and visiting England together. Gordon was also fond of antiquing, golfing, and working in his yard. He loved being at home with his canine companion, Lucy.
He is survived by his wife along with his daughters, Chantal Jansen of O'Fallon, IL, and Melissa McMaster of Pittsburgh, PA; nine grandchildren, Jarryn, Jordan, Drew, Breana, Sydney, Donovan, Cameron, Ethan, and Hunter; a sister, Gladys Stark of Steeleville, IL; mother-in-law, Dema Weinacht; two sisters-in-law, Sue Huff and Lorine Weinacht; numerous nieces and nephews.
Gordon was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tina McMaster-O'Laughlin; two brothers, Ian and Frank; and a sister, Joyce.
Visitation will be 12 noon to 3pm on Wednesday November 2, 2022 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.
Funeral service will be at 3pm on Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Jennifer Sowell Glover officiating.
