Hazel Crest, Illinois - James Wayland Malone, of Chicago, IL, born on August 22, 1940, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022, at his home.
James worked for the United States Postal Service, South Suburban Facility in Chicago, IL, for over fifty-five years, starting as a Union Steward and ending with over fifty years as APWU Local 6591's President.
Leaving to cherish his memory are two sons: Larry Dozier (Dalchanique) Malone, David Malone; one daughter: Jamille Malone, one granddaughter: Ke'Annah Malone; one grandson: Ke'Shawn Belt; five sisters: Mary Blackburn (Charles), Carole Malone, Ruth Carr Townsend, Valerie Malone, and Cheri Malone Gaston; two brothers: Paul Malone (Elizabeth) and Michael Malone, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Visitation: Friends may meet and greet the family from 11a.m. until noon Saturday, March 12, 2002 at St. Augustine of Hippo Catholic Church, 408 Reverend Joseph A Brown SJ Blvd. (Formerly Columbia Place), in East St. Louis, IL
Funeral: services will be held at noon Saturday, March 12, 2022 at St. Augustine of Hippo Catholic Church.
