Michael Clements Obituary
Michael J. Clements, 64, of Carmel, Ind., joined the Lord on March 21, 2013, surrounded by his family. Michael was born on Sept. 20, 1948, and was previously a resident of Belleville, Ill. Michael was a Vietnam veteran, with the Naval Support Activity in Da Nang from 1966 to 1969. Michael worked in the medical technology field.
Michael inspired everyone that he met along his 33-month courageous battle with pancreatic cancer with his wife Bonnie attending by his side. Supported by the prayers of many; his strong faith enabled Michael to use his battle with cancer in ministering to many others. To further the research of pancreatic cancer, Michael is donating his body to the Indiana University School of Medicine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Viola Clements; his mother-in-law, Geneva Schilling; and sister-in-law, Paula Schilling.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie, nee Schilling, Clements, whom he married on May 16, 1970; and children Erin and Eric Howe (sons, Vincent and Finian), Ryan Clements (son, Peyton), Matthew and Catie Clements, and Chelsea Clements; father-in-law, Raymond Schilling; stepmother, Vera Clements; siblings, Katherine and Larry Pritchard, Jennie and Kevin Shelley, Douglas and Vickie Clements; brother-in-law, Alan Schilling; and many nieces and nephews.

Bonnie,
Michael put up a good fight, didn't complain, kept a positive attitude and fully relied on the God(FROG). It was a blessing to have known him these past few years. Again, one of those situations where we mean to do something-call-and put it off and for too long. I enjoyed working with him and talking with him. While I am happy for him now that he is with the Lord, I am sad and pray for you.

Bonnie: Darlene and I were saddened to hear about Mike's passing. It's been quite a while since we've seen the two of you, but Mike was a good man and from what we read in his obituary, a good Christian husband and father. You have our sympathy and prayers.

Your legacy lives on through your children, sir, one with whom I work, Ryan. Through Ryan it is apparent you were a marvelous human being I regret not having met. Their love for you shows through every time he talked of you. I am sure your family will miss you terribly but will be relieved you no longer are suffering.
