Michael Walsh Sr.

Michael J. "Mike" Walsh, Sr., 57, of Caseyville, Ill., born Jan. 23, 1957, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Wednesday, July 30, 2014, in Caseyville, Ill.

Mike worked for Weiss Monuments and formally for Darling International for 23 years at the National City Stockyards. He was a former member of Moose Lodge 4 in Caseyville, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Shirley J, nee Powe, Walsh.

Surviving are his son, Michael J. Walsh, Jr.; his brothers and sisters, William (Marcia) Walsh, Jr., Dorothy (Steve) Hornacek, Linda Mansfield, Edward (Paula) Walsh, Sr., Pamela (Darryl) Stratman, John A. Walsh, Mary (Larry) Stephens and Mark (Tina) Walsh, Sr.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation: Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, Ill. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.
