Ramona Compton Obituary
Ramona L. Compton, nee Siebecker, 66, of Belleville, Ill., born Sept. 20, 1942, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Sunday, June 21, 2009, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
Mrs. Compton was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene D. Compton Sr., who died Aug. 12, 1998; and her parents, Arnold Louis and Georgia, nee Rogerson, Siebecker.
Surviving are two sons, Jerry Goodman and Geno Compton, both of Belleville, Ill.; three step-children, Roy (Lisa) Compton, Troy Compton, and Sheila Compton, all of Belleville, Ill.; and six sisters and a brother, Shirley Rigney, Joan Reichert, Fern Smock, Wayne (Delores) Siebecker, Barbara (Darrell Sr.) Dick, Sharon (Ed) Foley, and Judy (James) Allison.
Ramona was the loving grandmother of 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a loving aunt to 28 nieces and nephews; and a friend and mother to many.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill. Burial will be held at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.

MOM IT'S BEEN ALMOST 5 MONTHS SINCE YOU'VE BEEN GONE.IT STILL DON'T SEEM REAL TO ME.I MISS YOU SO MUCH. EVERY DAY IS A STRUGGLE TO MAKE IT REALITY. YOU WERE NOT ONLY MY MOM,BUT YOU WERE MY BEST FRIEND.I JUST WISH I COULD HAVE 1 MORE DAY WITH YOU TO LET YOU KNOW HOW MUCH YOU MEANT TO ME AND JAELYN.YOU WERE MY ROCK. Aunt Mona, It's been a month now since you were so suddenly taken from us. I miss you more than words could say. you were a great mom, grandma, aunt sister and friend. There is no one that could ever take the place of you. That's how special you were to me. I love you and miss you. R.I.P

Hey Mona,
Sorry I wasn't there today...but I had to take a grandbaby to the doctor. Just know that you are in my thoughts always and will cherish the great memories of so many years ago. My prayers are with little Jerry and Geno...as well as the Siebecker family.
