Robert Biggins

Robert L. "Bob" Biggins, 77, of Fairmont City, Ill., born on July 1, 1939 in Fairmont City, Ill., died on January 30, 2017 at Lebanon Care Center, Lebanon, Ill.

Bob was a United States Navy Veteran. After his military discharge, he operated a janitorial service in Alameda, Calif. Bob later was the owner/operator of Rosemont Bakery in Rosemont, Ill., and Hooks Bakery, in Collinsville, Ill. His hobby was racing stock cars locally in Belleville, Ill.

Bob is preceded in death by parents, Joe and Helen, nee Rosa Biggins; and his siblings, William Biggins and Barbara Biggins.

He is survived by his children, Kristen Biggins and Robert "B.J." Biggins; his grandchildren, Makenzie Martinez and Chloe Biggins; his brother, James (Irene) Biggins of Maryland Heights, Mo.; and his nieces and nephews, Louise Simms, John Strackeljahn, Janet Strackeljahn and Antoinette McFarland.

Services: Graveside services with military honors will be at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, February 13, 2017, in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo. (Please meet at 2:15 p.m. behind the Jefferson Barracks Administration Building.
