Roger Reichling

Roger R. Reichling, 65, of Freeburg, Ill., born June 11, 1948, in Belleville, Ill., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at his residence.

Roger was a retired pipefitter and belonged to the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 101. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his family and grandchildren. He was a past post vice commander with the American Legion Post 1255, Stookey, Ill. He sat on the executive board for the Local 101. Roger served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and the Marble Mountain offensive, receiving two Bronze Stars.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Cletus and Elizabeth, nee Carter, Reichling.

Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Patricia, A., nee Johnson, Reichling, who he married on May 29, 1970 in Belleville, Ill.; children, Darryl (Gail) Reichling, James Reichling, Stacy (Steven) Kritzmire, Robyn Reichling and Bryan Reichling; grandchildren, Sidney, Sierra, Skylar and Samuel Kritzmire; sisters, Murle (Pete) Pedersen and Lynne Kuykendall; and other relatives family and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at the Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.

Funeral: A private service will be held on Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, with interment in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.

I am sure Roger will be sadly missed. Working with him from the time we were apprentices on many jobs and over the years we worked together many times. We have lost a good friend,God bless him and his family.
