Ronald Schultz
Ronald Dean "Otto" Schultz, 66, of Carlyle, Ill., born on Dec. 18, 1942, in East St. Louis, Ill., entered into rest on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at St. Joseph's West Hospital in Lake St. Louis, Mo.
Mr. Schultz moved from Sparta to Carlyle in 1976 and was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ferrin, Ill. He worked at World Color Press from 1964 to 1991 and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Otto was past commander of Breese American Legion Post 252 and he enjoyed boating and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Wilma, nee Allen, Schultz; and two sisters, June (Louis) Faverty and Janet Dittle.
Surviving are his wife, Judith A., nee Mines, Schultz of Carlyle, Ill., whom he married on Jan. 30, 1965, in Walsh, Ill.; three sons, Scott (fiancee, Christine Williamson) Schultz of Carlyle, Ill., Dean (Bertha) Schultz of O'Fallon, Mo., and Garrett (Mary) Schultz of Carlyle, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Mason, Hayden, Cody, Connor and Justin Schultz, Sean Williamson and Eleanor McCrary; two sisters, Darlene (William) Meredith of Greenwood, Miss., and Terry Schuetz of Nashville, Ill.; and a brother, Kenneth Schultz of Prairie du Rocher, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle, Ill., and from 9 to 10 a.m. onTuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ferrin, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ferrin, Ill., with the Rev. Scott Niermann, officiating. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Ferrin, Ill.
