Ruth Stroder Obituary
Ruth A. Stroder, nee Linkey, 74, of St. Libory, Ill., born Nov. 22, 1942 in St. Louis, Mo., died Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert L. and Geraldine B., nee Braun, Linkey Grayson; a daughter, Shellie Stroder; her step-father, Arthur Grayson; and three brothers, Robert, Donald and Raymond Linkey.
She is survived by her husband, Franklin M. "Mac" Stroder, whom she married on Aug. 12, 1967, in East St. Louis, Ill.; three sons, Scott (Yvonne) Stroder of Addieville, Ill., Franklin (Rhonda) Stroder of St. Libory, Ill., Robert Stroder; and dear friend, Bonnie Rickert of St. Libory, Ill.; three grandchildren, Joshua (Emily) Stroder, and Brett and Douglas Stroder; two great-grandchildren, Lydia and Colby Stroder; step-mother, Janet Linkey; sister, Cathy (Steve) Cheney; sister-in-law and best friend, Dawn Linkey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, 305 S. Illinois St., Belleville, Ill. 62220. Condolences can be sent to the family by visiting mollfuneralhome.com.
Funeral: There will be a visitation with a memorial Mass at a later date.

Mac and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Ruthie was such a fun loving, kind, and selfless person with the biggest heart. We were all blessed to have her in our lives.
