Shirley Cygan-Keck
Shirley Cygan-Keck, nee Blackburn, 85, of Fairview Heights, Ill., born Feb. 21, 1923, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Monday, April 21, 2008, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church. She was a former president of Kappa TAU Chapter of Lambda Sigma Alpha, and a former board member of the River Bluff Girl Scout Council.
Shirley was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward F. Cygan; her parents, Eugene F. and Anna Augusta, nee Donahue, Blackburn; her children, Edward and Nancy Ann Cygan; a sister, Anna Louise Blaise; in-laws, Dalbert and Sophia, nee Cygan, Williams; Aubrey Pope, Art and Caroline, nee Cygan, Wilson, Frances Cygan, Joe and Katie Cygan, and Stanley and Ann Cygan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Hamilton Keck, Virgil Keck, Althea Wilberfalbe, Harold and Melba Keck, Fred Keck, and Clyde Morris.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Norman Keck; children, Dennis (Lynn) Cygan of Marine, Ill., Richard "Dickie" (Audrey) Cygan of Fairview Heights, Ill., Mary Lou (Raymond) "Andy" Anderson of Swansea, Ill., and Cindy (Mark) Howenstein-Voegtle of Fairview Heights, Ill.; grandchildren, D.J. (Michele) Cygan, Brett (Robyn) Cygan, Jill (Derek) Horn, Stephen (Michelle Romeo) Cygan, Tricia (Mike) Viviano, Kenny McCoy, Kolleen (Brian) Maurer, Kellie (Kurt Tegmeier) McCoy, Kayce Anderson, and Chloe Howenstein; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Sara, Cole, Alex, Sydney, Gage, Mackenzi, Noah, Jaeden, Isabella, Brian, Meagan, Nick, Wesley, and Amber; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack (Shirley) Cygan, Emily Pope, Elmer (Dorothy) Blaise, Gloria Keck, Rita Keck, and Ardella Morris; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friend Joe Green.
Memorials may be made to the Belleville Humane Society, Holy Trinity Church, Fairview Heights, Ill., or donor's choice.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2008, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill. A vigil wake services at 4 p.m. by Rev. Father Ray Schultz at the funeral home.

Funeral: Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2008, at Holy Trinity Church, Fairview Heights, Ill., with Father Ray Schulz officiating. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
