Sybil Weber-Goebel Obituary
Sybil L. Weber-Goebel, nee Beasenburg, 87, of Belleville, Ill., born Tuesday, Sept. 25, 1923, in Jackson, Tenn., died Thursday, June 16, 2011, at Four Fountains Convalescent Center in Belleville, Ill.
Mrs. Goebel worked as a ward clerk for Centreville Hospital and was a member of Prospect Park United Methodist Church in Fairview Heights, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clem Goebel; first husband, Robert E. Weber; parents, Chester and Ocie, nee Usery, Beasenburg; daughter, Kathy Weber, and brother, Charles Beasenburg.
Surviving are her son, Robert J. (Alicia) Weber of San Antonio, Texas, brothers, Vaughn H. Beasenburg of Pa., and Milton Beasenburg of S.C.; sister, Frances Claybourne; grandchildren, Robert James Weber II, and Alicia (Harmon) Hamann; great-grandchildren, Robert James Weber III, Angelica Weber, Sarah Weber, Dillon Alexander Hamann, and Benjamin Hamann; nieces, Patty Beasenburg of Freeburg, Ill., and Barbara Beck of New Athens, Ill.; and many other nieces & nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Prospect Park United Methodist Church. Condolences may be expressed online at www.kurrusfh.com.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2011, at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at the funeral home with the Rev. Karen Oplt officiating Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
