William Cromwell

William Earl Cromwell, 55, passed away at 5:17 p.m. on Friday, May 28, 2010, at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, Ill.

He was born on Jan. 30, 1955, in Litchfield, Ill., to William Oliver Cromwell Jr. and Virginia, nee Dey, Cromwell.

William opened the first Downstate Illinois office for Merrill Lynch in 1995 where he served as a stockbroker.

Surviving are his wife, Pamela S. (Ledbetter) Cromwell of Alton, Ill.; two children, Heather Cromwell of O'Fallon, Ill., and Nathan Cromwell of Cincinnati, Ohio; as well as his mother, Virginia Cromwell of Bunker Hill, Ill.; and one granddaughter, Keira Cromwell of O'Fallon, Ill. Other survivors include his sister, Linda Cromwell Bunzel of Ballwin, Mo.; his brother, Thomas Cromwell of Belleville, Ill.; his father and mother-in-law, Jim and Sue Ledbetter of Alton, Ill.; and one brother-in-law, Brian Ledbetter of East Alton, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his father.
