Brian J. Hagan

March 28, 1942 - October 17, 2024

Bellingham, Washington - Brian Hagan, age 82, passed away at Whatcom Hospice House in Bellingham on October 17, 2024. He was born March 28, 1942 in Calgary, Alberta to James and Isabell Hagan. Brian graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1969 and worked the next 30 years with Georgia-Pacific in Bellingham. He later worked as a consultant, and retired from CH2M Hill (later Jacobs Engineering Group). Brian was passionate about golf. He began playing at Lake Padden and was a member of the Bellingham Golf and Country Club for decades where he was proud to have membership number 1. Brian married Susan Loudon in 1991 and they enjoyed traveling the world together, especially when that included one of their 40 cruises. He had a vibrant personality, loved to dance, and enjoyed a glass of wine and socializing with friends. Brian will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Susan; his three children, Michael (Alice) Hagan, Gwen Hough, and Jill (Tom) Dwyer; grandchildren, Nicole, Mathew, Tristan, Alexandra, and Hayden; great-grandchildren Hailey, Henry, Lucas, Kaira and Sarina; Susan's two children, Jordan "Jody" (Mary) McColman and Meghan "Mugs" (Mary) Loudon and their two children Emerson and Charlotte; brother, Steve; sisters, Karen, Kathy and Heather; former wife, Jan Hayes; and many loving relatives and friends.
