Gary Bruce Stefanson

October 25, 1942 - June 26, 2025

Ferndale, Washington - Gary Bruce Stefanson passed away on June 26, 2025, in Ferndale, Washington. He was born on October 25, 1942, and spent his life in Whatcom County.

Gary completed his electrical journeyman training and worked at Intalco until his retirement in 1998.

He had a deep appreciation for golf and enjoyed both playing the game and watching a variety of sports on television. His interests also included camping, fishing, traveling, reading, and solving Sudoku puzzles. Time spent with family held special meaning for him.

Gary was predeceased by his mother Elinor Day; stepfather Harold Day; brother Rick; and sister Kerry. He is survived by his wife Laurie Polinkus; daughters Brenda (Mark) Weatherby, Gwen Oliver, and Kris (Ed) Moulassian; stepson Jade Worthen; sister Kathy (Jim) Kyle; sisters-in-law Sheryl Stefanson and Stacy Polinkus Delaney; and brothers-in-law Brian Polinkus and Gordon (Debbie) Polinkus. He was a proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren and great-grandfather to eight great-grandchildren. He especially cherished time spent with his youngest great-grandchildren: Cameron, Zane, Carter, and Lincoln.

Gary will be remembered as a happy, generous, and humble man who was always willing to lend a hand with a caring nature and unconditional love.

May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.
