James Larsen Obituary

Bellingham, Washington - Born to parents Allen and Lucritia Larsen in Bellingham Washington, November 9th 1954 James Allen Larsen passed on March 1, 2024 in Pahrump, Nevada at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was raised in Bellingham, and moved to Pahrump in 2010 due to health issues.
Jim was a Master Shipwright (boat builder) for 36 years for Uniflite, Chris Craft, Nordic Yachts, Tolley Craft, and ACB boats before being disabled in 2009.
Jim was a down to earth no-frills guy who loved camping, hunting, fishing, crabbing, clam digging, building things from nothing and fixing things broken. He loved sitting on the on porch watching and listening to the birds, feeding his lizards and looking out at the mountains.
Jim was very passionate about family, friends, and boat building.
Jim is survived by his wife of 49 happy years, Debra Larsen; sons James Larsen II, and Michael Larsen; twelve grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; four siblings; Debbie Hammer, Mike Larsen, Rick Larsen, Gary Larsen, and their spouses, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Jim will be missed, but will always be remembered and loved by all those who knew him.

Sending my deepest condolences for this great loss you have endured.
I had the pleasure of working with Jim in my late teens early 20´s in the office of a boatyard (not glamorous for a young girl). What I remember most about those days is Jim greeting me with the best smile every single day, always doing his job right to make mine smooth and always making sure he checked in before leaving at the end of the day to make sure he said "have a good night".
He suffered from extreme pain from arthritis but the man never complained a day & moved with a quickness that crew half his age couldn´t keep up.
I am thankful for knowing Jim, sending my love to the family.

We are so sorry to hear of Jim passing. We grew up on Alabama and Undine st in Bellingham played baseball and many wonderful times spent with Jim ,Mike, Debbie.
