Jeffrey Kahn Obituary

Jeffrey M. Kahn, 61, of Bellingham, WA (born and raised in Berwyn, PA) passed away peacefully August 20, 2025 after bravely struggling with glioblastoma brain cancer.

He is survived by his sons, Dylan and Logan, their mother Heather, his siblings Amy Kahn, Andy Kahn (Carin Smith) and Claudia Fonda (Scott Fonda), and numerous nephews and nieces, most especially Onyx Calhoun who was present at Jeff's side almost every day of his ordeal. Jeff was predeceased by his parents William and Vicki Kahn.

Jeff loved his dual role as accountant and meeting planner at SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, and had an amazing group of friends and colleagues from many chapters of his life who showered him with love from near and far. He seemed to have a gift for making people feel good about themselves, and they wanted to be around him.

He said: "Commit to living your best life in relationship with others. Life is fleeting; don't waste it holding grudges."

A Celebration of Life will be held in Bellingham at 11 a.m. October 25, at Cornwall Church in Bellingham.
