Michael Guzman Obituary
Michael Paul Guzman "Gooz" was born in Los Angeles, California to Dona Bracke and Paul Guzman and was lovingly welcomed by sister Whitney Loren Wolfe. He lived there the first 10 years of his life. In 1999 he moved, with his family, to Bellingham, Washington. He graduated from Sehome High School in 2007. He worked at a variety of jobs, construction with his Dad, restaurants, Locker Room and Feller HVAC. Michael was predeceased by his grandparents and his Aunt Paula Fitzgerald Bracke; he is survived by his mom and dad; his Aunts Nancy Levie and Susanna Bracke; his Uncles Brad Levie, Vic Bracke and Keith Bracke; his stepmom Rachel Enter-Guzman, stepsister Madison and stepbrother Mason; cousins Kyle Lewis, Ryan Lewis ( wife Naomi and daughter Josephine), Courtney Turner ( husband James and son Ivor), Griffin Bracke, Patrick Bracke, Charlie Bracke and Henry Bracke; and his pups Sophia Loren and Grace Kelly (sisters). Michael loved sports and played in almost all of them throughout his life, wrestling, football, soccer, baseball, track, tennis, basketball, skiing and gymnastics. But his favorite was basketball, by far, and his favorite team "The Lakers". His favorite player was Kobe Bryant, the best player ever, in Michael's opinion. He fulfilled a longstanding dream a few years ago when he saw Kobe play at the Staples Center. He didn't stop smiling for days. He also loved playing poker and hosted some great poker parties. He loved music, specifically rap, and particularly loud. When he was younger he played the cello and guitar. Michael had a lot of friends. He also had a lot of families he had become a part of, some from school and some from work. He enjoyed family life, his own and others. He was generous with his time and helping others with no expectation of receiving anything. He had a big heart and a great smile. He was in such a good place in his life. He enjoyed working at Feller, he had a great work family there, worked hard, getting increased responsibility, raises and his favorite a "Feller" truck. He couldn't have been prouder. He will be missed by so many friends, family, relatives , co-workers and his girls Sophia and Grace. Sophia and Grace miss him coming home and running to see them, wrestling with them and letting them slobber on his face (to them they were giving him kisses). Please join us in a Celebration of Michael's Life on May 27, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at the Ferndale Events Center.
