Richard Ogar Obituary

Richard Ogar, age 77, of Bellingham passed away at home and now is in his permanent home with Jesus Christ. He was born in Chicago, Illinois to William and Bernice Ogar and moved at age 10 to a farm in Southern Michigan. Richard graduated from Elkhart High School in Indiana in 1956 and then entered Michigan State University. Richard served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963, working as a Hospital Lab Tech at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. There he met his wife, Lucille Schutte, and they were married in May of 1962. Richard worked for Arco in Ferndale and Alaska and then Alyeska Pipeline in Alaska from which he retired. He is survived by his wife and three sons; Todd (Dennise) Ogar, Kelly Ogar, Ross Ogar; two grandchildren, Alexandra and Scott Ogr; brother, Ralph (Chris) Ogar and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2015, 2:30 P.M. at Immanuel Bible Church, 2000 W. North St., Bellingham. Family suggests memorial donations be made to the Church.
