Ronald Moa Obituary

Ronald Gene Moa, born January 10, 1953, in Bellingham, WA, passed peacefully at his wife's side on October 10, 2025. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents (William Eugene and Billie Jean Moa) granddaughter (Megan Moa), sister (Sandy Moa), and father-in-law, John Zender. Growing up in Whatcom County, Ronald graduated from Mt. Baker High School in 1972 as the class president. That following summer on the 26th of August, he married Dori, his high school sweetheart. Together they lived and raised their six children in the Catholic faith and on a small hobby farm outside of Acme, WA. Ronald's love for family lives on in all of them. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dori, his Children - Janine (and John) Sande, Kimberly, Mason (and Jenai), Brent (and Heather), Klinton (and Narissa), and Kevin. His Great-Grandchildren, Quinn and Walker Brown and Lorelai Moa. Ron worked in the logging industry for 25 years and later going on to work at Alcoa Aluminum Smelter in Ferndale, WA until his retirement in June of 2020. Ron was passionate about his grandchildren's sports games, The Mariners, and fishing in Whatcom County and around the San Juan Islands. I had the pleasure and honor of working with Ron at Intalco. I always found him to be sincere, honest, a quick smile with a wink, and a great work ethic. He talked of his family often and I could tell there was a great love and pride for them all. My prayers and condolences to Ron´s family!
