Albert Lepper Obituary

EAST DORSET -- Albert “Ozzie” Lepper Jr., 73, a resident of Village Street, died Monday morning, Nov. 28, 2005, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Wethersfield, Conn., on April 22, 1933, the son of Albert Lepper Sr. and Kathryn Landers. He received his education in the Connecticut area and was a graduate of Nichols College in Massachusetts. Mr. Lepper was a longtime friend of Bill W. and was co-founder of The Wilson House Restoration.

Mr. Lepper was an avid animal lover and enjoyed bee-keeping. He was a member of the BeeKeepers Association and a member of the New Life Christian Church in Cambridge, N.Y.

He is survived by his wife the former Bonnie Laplante of East Dorset; five sons, Albert Lepper III, Curtis F. Lepper, Nelson F. Laplante, Michael Laplante and Kevin J. Laplante; two daughters, Katharina S. Lepper-Businger and Jennifer Kortekaas; his sister, Janet Tyrol; nine grandchildren, one niece and one nephew.

Funeral services for Mr. Lepper will held Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of East Dorset. Interment will follow in the family lot in South Village Cemetery in Dorset. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brewster Funeral Service 34 Park Place, Manchester Center.

I will very much miss Ozzie and all his good works at the Wilson House. Ozzie made a tremendous contribution to for the AA community and recovery.
