Alexandra, my mother, was a great woman. Dedicated to family and to the community. Most recently she was so proud to be a grandmother. My heart aches as I think of all that she means to me and the void that will exist forever. She was who influenced me the most, and that will continue even going forward. I hold you in my heart, Mom.

Dearest Mom: we will always miss you. Thank you for helping make us the people we are today. LOVE xoxo

Dear Mark,

How surprised and sad I was to read about your mom in the paper this morning. She was a wonderful woman- bright, dedicated, passionate and compassionate, kind, and caring. When she was on the school board and I was teaching, I always felt that the teachers had a voice of someone who really "got it." I will not be in town for her funeral, but would love to hear from you when you get a chance. Meanwhile, know that my thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family as you go through this hard time. May happy memories begin to replace the sadness as you move forward.

With love,
Judy Pennock

I first met Allie when I met with her to get her advice on a possible run for the BSD board. She so impressed me, and never failed to do so in all our future interactions. Allie was spunky, funny, intelligent, passionate, willing to stand up for those who did not have a voice, and had a great laugh...these are some of the qualities that most linger in my mind. Did I mention spunky? When the subsequent chair showed up at my house with a box (I was vice-chair) to say he was moving out of state, the reason I could not turn down the chair job was Allie and her example. Oh, the laughs we had over some of the pomposity that went on. She made it all tolerable. Deep felt sympathies to her family.
