Marie Cale Obituary

Marie A. Cale BENNINGTON, VT Marie A. Cale, 60, of North Street died Monday, June 30, 2008, at UMass Memorial Medical Center University Campus, Worcester, Mass.She was born in North Conway, N.H., the daughter of the late Frank L. Hill Jr., and lived most of her life in Bennington. She leaves her husband of four years, John Cale of Bennington; her mother, Barbara E. Durgin Hill Gelinas of Webster, Mass; two sons, Thomas J. Hoard Jr. of Maryland and Doug M. Hoard Sr. of Berlin, N.Y.; three stepchildren; a brother, P. Herbert Hill of Norway, Maine; a sister, Juanita A. Moscoffian of Oxford, Mass.; a half-brother, Danny Hill of Connecticut; two half-sisters, Nancy and Judy, both of Connecticut; her former husband, Thomas J. Hoard Sr. of Bennington; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother, Leslie F. Hill of Monson, Mass., who died in 2004; and her fiancé, Don Smith of Arlington, Va. Mrs. Cale was a secretary at Ames Department Store in Vermont for several years. She was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed fishing, and loved flowers. FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
