I worked with Scott a few years ago. He was inspiring, brought his absolute best to every project and just loved to write. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Liell family and friends.

As Abby's oldest childhood friend from Pound Ridge my heart is sad to learn of Scott's passing. I have very fond memories of meeting Scott the 1st time at Gates in New Cannan-- and then sharing many long weekends over the years at the little apt in PR and Danbury, then Madison and Killingsworth CT.We always had good times, laughter and great food! Best memory...Scott promised the girls pancakes the night before a BIG snow storm....when we awoke the next morning to about 3 feet of snow Scott trekked us all out to the only place open for miles(Denny's) so the girls could get their pancakes and Hot Chocolate!!!
All good thoughts to Abby, Sarah and Katie-

I have known Scott since college, and heped him publish his book. He was a good friend, a smart man, and an accomplished one. More than anything I will miss his keen intelellectual curiosity, his bright mind, his wry sense of humor, and his penchant for debate. I will miss his enthusiasm and friendship. My condolences to his wife and children.

i worked with Scott at Digitas and build a great bond with him. Several years ago when my dad was sick with cancer, Scott was one of the people who I relied on for support and advice. For that I will always remember him. More to it, he and I shared similar politics, tastes in music and a passion for the Founding Fathers. As a UVA grad, I had some great talks with Scott about Mr. Jefferson. I will really miss him.

Scott was a very kind and caring person. He never missed an opportunity to gather up Katie and her friends to take them to the movies, quarry, dinner etc. He was always very generous with his time. He could always be found at whatever event his girls were involved with. We will all miss him very, very much. My deepest sympathies to Abby, Sarah and Katie and the rest of the Liell family.
