Willliam McGuinness Obituary

Bill passed away after a long illness on December 2 in the United Kingdom, where he had lived for several decades. While living in Bennington he raised his three sons William Jr., Tom, and Mark. He coached many little league teams and drove his kids up to Prospect Mountain every winter weekend despite never quite getting the hang of skiing himself. He was, however, an accomplished golfer, something his sons still aspire to. In high school, he was invited to play golf with President Dwight Eisenhower, a memory he cherished. He was a graduate of Holy Cross and the University of Chicago. A service will be held in Huntingdon, UK on January 10, 2025, where Bill will be laid to rest beside his wife Jenny Holt. Memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Research UK.
