Danny Gartrell Obituary
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda "Kay" Diemer-Gartrell, daughter Niki and husband Steven Mathews, daughter Dana Gartrell, son Brian Gartrell, daughter Danielle Gartrell and son Logan Aaron, seven grandchildren: Matthew Hunsicker, Kayla Streepey, Johnathan Streepey, Cali Mathews, Hannah Gartrell, Henry Gartrell and Brey Blahitka, as well as several loved nephews, nieces and cousins.
Danny graduated from LR Central High School in 1969 and attended UALR and University of Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Army 5-77th Artillery, Sergeant Missile Battalion stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany from 1970-1972, and Honorably Discharged Sgt. E-5.
For many years Danny and Kay enjoyed fishing and water sports as well as their houseboat on Lake Ouachita.
Danny loved his family fiercely and will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be 9:00 to 10:00 am Tuesday, November 26 at Ashby Funeral Home with services beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
