Ronald Vinyard Obituary

Ronald Dale Vinyard, 71, of Benton, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 27, 2025. He was born on March 7, 1954, to Charles William and Irene Frances (Johnson) Vinyard.
Ronald graduated from Benton High School in the Class of 1972 and drove a school bus for the Benton School District. He later worked at Alcoa for a few years before becoming an equipment operator for the Saline County Solid Waste Management District, retiring in 2008. Ronald was a member at Spring Creek Baptist Church and a charter member of the Riverside Hunting Club.
Ronald was a loving daddy and devoted husband to his wife of 51 years, Beverly (Curtis) Vinyard, who was the love of his life. They enjoyed traveling to Alaska with friends and cruising. He was a great fisherman with many tall fish tales, an avid deer hunter who loved running dogs while hunting rabbits. He was also known as "Mr. Fix It" when he was "thinking about doing it" because he was "gonna finish that project maybe?"
Beverly and Ron were known for their camping adventures with Ron "fixing" anything mechanical because he knew the right way to do it. We all loved Ronald Dale Vinyard.
Most of all, he loved his Lord and Savior and his family. Amber and Heath were his wonderful children, and "Pop" to his grandchildren, Cooper and Caroline.
He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Beverly; his parents, Charles and Frances Vinyard; his nephew, Jonathan Daniel Curtis; and one brother, Mike Stockton, according to his obituary with Ashby Funeral Home.
Survivors include his loving children, Amber Dawn Loyd and Heath Jarred Vinyard; two loving grandchildren, Cooper Thomas Loyd and Caroline Elizabeth Loyd; his brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Jeannette Curtis; sister-in-law, Nellie (Stockton) Keaton; nieces and nephews, Joshua (Megan) Curtis, Jonica (Harrison) Ferrell, Joanna (Kelly) Scott, all of Benton, and John David (Cassie) Curtis of Russellville. He was also loved by nine great-nieces and nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, and a host of friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in the Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Terry Parrish and Johnathan Long officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 30, at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home, 6700 Alcoa Road, Benton (501-315-0700). Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Cooper Loyd, Joshua Curtis, John David Curtis, Justin Bridges, Eric Vinyard, and cousin and dear friend Jerry Wallace. Honorary pallbearers will be all of his friends from the lake.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Elite Hospice, 4000 Arkansas 5, Suite 5, Bryant, AR 72022.
The Vinyard family would like to thank Elite Hospice for their care and all the services that were provided during this season of Ron's life. Also, many thanks to the family and friends for the outpouring of love and support.
