Barbara Scott Obituary
Born in Pittsfield on November 6, 1932, she was the daughter of John U. Adams and Dorothy M. Digweed Adams.
She was educated in Pittsfield Schools and was a 1950 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Barbara married Alan A. Scott on July 14, 1952. He predeceased her on May 14, 2022 after 70 years of marriage.
Mrs. Scott was a baker for 20 years in the Pittsfield Public Schools.
A communicant of Morningside Baptist Church, she was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and was a Secret Pal Member. She enjoyed flowers, birds and gardening.
Mrs. Scott is survived by her sons, Jeffrey A. Scott of Pittsfield, Steven R. Scott (Monica) of Lenox, brothers, Jack Adams of Hinsdale, Ken Adams of Hinsdale and David Adams of Dalton; as well as her sister in-law and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Brian Adams and sisters, Florence Lebeau, Dorothy Kordana and Cathy Torres.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Graveside service will be held, Friday, July 12, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Pittsfield Cemetery. Those attending are asked to meet inside the gate at 9:45 a.m. There will be a continued celebration of life following the burial at the Dalton VFW, 366 E. Housatonic St., Dalton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to the Morningside Baptist Church and mailed to Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.

Jeff and Steve, growing up on Brombach St I always felt I had a second mother. Your mom was so sweet and welcoming to all of us kids in the neighborhood.
