Brian McKim Obituary
Brian was born July 27, 1952 in Pittsfield, MA to the late Edward and Marcella McKim. Brian grew up in Pittsfield and received his education from Taconic High School. He worked as a tool designer for Beloit Jones and later GL&V for 42 years.
Brian raised his family in Dalton, MA, and later Litchfield, NH. After retirement Brian moved to Okatie, SC. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Christine Higgins McKim; sons Brian and Jacob McKim; 2 grandchildren Parker and Brady McKim; sisters Carol Manarchik and Judy Warger, and brother Harrison McKim. Brian was predeceased by his brother Edward McKim.
His family will remember him as a kind man, loving father, and dedicated husband. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling and joining poker tournaments, the latter of which he developed quite the skill, eventually making it to a seat in a World Series of Poker match. Brian also enjoyed cooking and was known for his expertise in the kitchen specializing in vegetarian cuisine. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching all sports from Rugby to Hockey, but most important to him was the Boston Celtics.
A service will be held 11am on 10/19/2024 at Ashuelot Cemetery in Dalton, MA. Contact Dery Funeral Home for details. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ocean Conservation.

To Chris and the kids
There was nothing better than watching the Celtics at Gibby Rudd´s house or better yet the Super Bowl with all his parlay betting schemes. Brian was a dear friend of my brother Gibby and I will always treasurer guys night at Gibs! He will be sadly missed , a truly great guy and friend

Chris and family members,
We were so sorry to read about Brian´s passing. I have fond memories of working with Brian at Beloit Jones. I think back to the days of playing cards, parties and company picnics.
