Dale Connor Obituary

Dale P. Connor, 44 of Dalton, formerly of Pittsfield, passed away from a brief illness at Berkshire Medical Center on Sunday, September 10, 2023, surrounded by his loving wife, Jacqueline and loving family.

Born in North Adams, MA on June 6, 1979 to Jeffrey and Debra Gazaille Connor of Pittsfield. Dale graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1997. He excelled in both football and baseball, earning All Berkshire Honors his senior year of baseball. Dale later graduated from UMASS Amherst in 2001 with a bachelor's degree.

Dale wore many hats throughout his career with General Dynamics since 2006.

As a communicant of St. Charles Church, Dale loved and enjoyed many things such as spending time with our animals, Rocky, Ruby, Ziva, and Spencer. He was always able and willing to help family and friends when help was needed. Dale was all around a great, kind, and loving man.

Dale grew up playing many sports throughout his youth and high school. He carried on his love for sports through his children. Dale treasured going to the fields to help our kids with improving their game. By spending endless hours throwing, catching, batting, running the bases and shooting hoops, so that when it became game time, they were ready to go. Dale loved being on the bench, sidelines, and outfield cheering on our kids, nieces, nephews, and teammates. He was everyone's biggest supporter. His fierce competitive spirit, sportsmanship, and leadership traits will live on through his children.

Dale was devoted to his family. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Kelly Connor, whom he married October 14, 2006, and their three beautiful, beloved children, Elizabeth, Colin, and Autumn Connor of Dalton. His parents, Jeffrey and Debra Gazaille Connor of Pittsfield. Siblings, Karie Connor Paronto (Chad) of Pittsfield, Richard Connor of Pittsfield, Bill Connor (Marlena) of Lexington, SC, and Lorie Connor of Tyngsboro, MA. His mother in-law, Holly A. Wood of Pittsfield. Sister in-law, Emily Schilling (Michael) of Pittsfield. Brother in-law, Darrick Wood (Danielle) of Key West, FL. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and a long line of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held, Friday, September 22, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA. Dale was an amazing friend and colleague. I´ll always cherish the memories of us grinding it out at the ISF, and bragging about our kid´s accomplishments and how much we loved out families. He was genuine and authentic and will be dearly missed. Our thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to Jackie and the entire Connor family. May he rest in peace. RIP to my guy Dale. Thank you for being a friend.

To my brother.... life is too short, and I often wonder why certain people are lost far to soon... tho it's been so many years since I left pittsfield, my memories of you amd Rick on the field have not faded. I'll have a drink for you brother, and then another for your family. Tho the miles and years have separated people, may the yards bring us back. God's speed for you my friend, and God's love for your family. I'll see you again someday, on a field known to the lucky..
