I was part of this program back in the early 70's. Work at the YMCA through this program. Was ran by a black pastor and I was the white teen in it. Don't remember Mr. Yorke but sorry the lost. Does any better know the name of the pastor who ran it back then? It turn my life around. How is program doing these days? God bless

Dear Aggie, I never had the opportunity to spend much time with my family out there. I know my Mom Maxine thought the world of You and Dave. You both were always so thoughtful in remembering her on holidays. She spoke of you both often. My deepest sympathy goes out to you and the family during this difficult time.

I was hired by Dave as program coordinator of Diivision of Youth Services under his direction at the Neighborhood Youth Corp in the early 70's. Dave was a kind and compassionate mentor and friend. I will always remember the early 70's as a time when the "Great Society" began and Dave's leadership brought youth counseling and employment to the Berkshires.

I am sorry to hear of Mr. Yorke's passing. I recently tried to find Mr. Yorke through social media with out ever doing so. I can honestly say that his guidance and confidence building in my youth while working in the Neighborhood Youth Corp in Pittsfield in the late 60's had a dramatic impact on my direction. I will be forever grateful, THANK YOU! I am just sorry I never could deliver that message while he was alive.
