Jean Rudio Obituary

Jean Marie Rudio, 88, of Belvidere, NJ, passed away January 18, 2024. Born in Pittsfield, Ma on February 12, 1935, she was the daughter of Clarence and Eugenie Corrinet Trudell.

She was a graduate of Pittsfield High School and the University of Vermont.

Jean was married to Harry M. Rudio, Jr., for 52 years. He predeceased her in 2010.

She had been employed as an Executive Recruiter at Thomas J. Lipton Company and had worked for the Morris County Board of Social Services as a Personnel Manager.

Mrs. Rudio is survived by her sons, Harry M. Rudio, III, and wife Diana of Newton, NJ, and Gary M. Rudio and wife Patricia of Byram Township, NJ. She also leaves her grandchildren, Catharine and husband Derek, Melanie, Megan and Aislinn, as well as a great-grandson, Carter.

Jean enjoyed her family, friends, crafting, bridge, and mahjong.

Funeral Notice: Funeral services will be held, Friday, January 26, 2024, at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in the South Chapel. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to The Chelsea at Brookfield, Activity Fund in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.

I worked with Jean at Morris County Social Services. She became a friend and mentor for my entire career. I will always be grateful for her taking a professional interest in a mouthy young accountant. I still have the green elephant that she gave me when she retired on my desk. Her wisdom will be missed.
