A 1973 graduate of Taconic High School, Maureen went to work initially at the General Electric Co. Ordnance Systems in the welding and soldering dept. Transferring to the former Power Transformers Division, she served as a shop steward also in the Welding and Soldering Dept. there and retired in 1992. Wood and her husband Daniel, of Roanoke, VA, her brother, Michael Flanagan and his wife, Jo-Anne of Arnold ,MD and her 5 cherished, beautiful grandchildren, Brittany, Kaylee, Emily, Charlotte and Hudson as well as her many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated this WEDNESDAY afternoon, April 28th at 1:00 pm at St. Joseph's Church with the Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph's Church in care of the Devanny-Condron Funeral Home.
