Michael Hurvitz

Michael Hurvitz 78, of Lake Worth, FL, formerly of Pittsfield, Entered Eternal Rest on February 16, 2023.

Michael was born in Boston, son of the late Judith & Martin Hurvitz. He served honorably in the Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. Later he worked as a merchandise replenisher for K-B Toys for 27 years.

Mike known to many as "Da Herv" was an avid lover of the Patriots, Celtics, Red Sox, and all things Boston. He grew kinder and gentler with age. Michael volunteered at his local hospital for over a decade helping those in need. His courage and optimism during the last years of his life will leave a lasting legacy for those who loved him.

Michael was the devoted husband of Yolanda "Jo" Cardona; the beloved father of Arri Better, Bram Hurvitz, Myra Carmona, Leason Carmona, and Eva Alexander; the adored grandfather of Emanuel Hurvitz, Ayla Better, Alex Rivera, Danielle Morris, Zoe Ramos, Josh Ramos, Caleb Ramos, Joseph Ramos, and 4 great-grandchildren; and dear brother of the late Bruce Hurvitz & Ira Hurvitz.

Services will be at the Ashkenaz of Cambridge Cemetery 232 Fuller Street on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at 12 p.m. Condolence calls may be made at the home of Myra Carmona (31 Webster Street, Randolph, MA 02368) following the interment between (2 p.m. to 5 p.m.).
