Michael Swail Obituary
He was the loving husband to Kimberly Swail and devoted father to son Jackson (3) and daughter Madelyn (6 months). He is also survived by his parents David Swail of Hinsdale and Heather Harrison of Ludlow, as well as his sister Carrie Bryant and her husband Garrick, his step-mother Jess Swail and step-father Bill Vigneux, his wife's parents Norma and Hugh McCann and his sister-in-law Katie McCann and her fiance Nick Lesgor.
Mike was an incredible man who was well loved and respected by all who knew him. He touched numerous lives with his big smile, kind heart, and witty sense of humor. His impact on those around him has been displayed in the overwhelming outpouring of love and support from all corners of his life.
Mike was born on July 22,1982 and grew up in the small Berkshire County town of Hinsdale. Throughout his youth Mike participated in many sports, including soccer and football at Wahconah Regional High School. He was also a member of Boy Scouts and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
At a young age he displayed an interest in how things worked, often taking household items apart much to the dismay of his parents. These interests eventually led him to his chosen profession of mechanical engineering. Mike received his bachelor degree from Western New England University, his master degree from Northeastern University and earned his Professional Engineering license in several states. For the last nine years Mike worked as a consultant to the energy industry as the Chief Engineer for Tri-Mont Engineering.
Mike's greatest joys in life were spending time with his family and friends.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 12pm-3pm at the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St. Whitman, Massachusetts. A Memorial Service will follow.

Dave I never had the pleasure of meeting you but was fortunate enough to have known one very sweet and darling little boy named Michael. He was a playmate of my nephew, Nick DiSantis. I think Michael was 5 or 6 years old. He was always smiling and so happy go lucky, pure joy to be around. I am so very sorry for this terrible loss to you and your family. You now have one beautiful, smiling angel to watch over your family. God Bless his wife and children.

I am SO very sorry to learn of Michael's passing! I knew him as a little boy, and remember him as being very sweet! I was his sister Carrie's 1st grade teacher and later coach! My heart goes out to you all! I will keep you all in thought and prayer!
