Michael Wojtkowski Obituary
Michael graduated from Taconic High School in 1977, where he played on the hockey team. He was a skilled carpenter, building and remodeling beautiful homes in The Berkshires. He was a devoted fan of Boston sports teams, with a particular love for the Red Sox and Bruins. His enthusiasm for sports was matched only by his love for the outdoors. He found joy in hunting and fishing, often sharing these pursuits with those he loved.
He is survived by his son Corey Bassett and his cherished granddaughter Mitra. Michael is also survived by his daughter, Michelle Bartels, her husband Alex, and their children, Madelyn and Jackson, who were the light of his life. He leaves behind his parents, Frances and Conrad Wojtkowski, his siblings: Lisa and husband Jeff Brown, Victoria and husband Chris Johnson, Erik and wife Jennifer, former wife Debra Podavini-Wojtkowski, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Michael was predeceased by his son Nicholas, his brother Conrad, Jr., and his sister Julie.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Michael's memory to the Pittsfield Sportsmen's Club, Inc., or Taconic High School Hockey c/o Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
Michael's spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and he will be remembered always.

Connie and Fran: I´m very sorry for your loss. My fondest memory of Michael was looking out my kitchen window every Spring and seeing him walking the yard looking for Morel mushrooms. He was always much better at finding them than I was. I will miss him.
