Peter Durso Obituary

Mr. Peter Durso, 63, of Pittsfield, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. Born in New Haven, CT, on December 3, 1959, the son of Alfred and Agnes Durso, he graduated from Pittsfield High School with the class of 1979.

In his earlier career, Peter worked for 25 years as an EMT. Peter also worked as a fireman with the Lanesborough Fire Dept for 15 years. Currently, he was employed by CRT Cabulance as a driver. In his spare time, he could be found at the Sun's games at Wahconah Park, working as both front gate security and as an EMT.

Peter is survived by his wife, Robin E. Kudlate Durso, as well as his children, Brandon Durso (Meghan), and Renee Danforth (Matt). He leaves behind his siblings, Alfred Durso and Helena Durso, as well as his mother, Agnes Durso. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Olivia and Chandler Durso, Ryder Jackson, Hannah Burke, and Brody, Bella and Richard Danforth.

Peter was predeceased by his sisters, Valerie Dean and Ann Durso.

Funeral Notice:

Calling hours for Mr. Peter Durso will be Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North Street, Pittsfield MA 01201. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the American Heart Association in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home. Please visit www.dwyerfuneral.com to leave condolences and remembrances.

Dearest Family,
We are heartbroken for you. Pete, your Dad, grand-father, father in law and friend will be miss by so many. His personality and smile was world wide. You could tell he loved his family very much and was very proud.

Pete's legacy will be that he did a lot of good for a lot of people over the years. I worked with him on numerous occasions and he could always be relied on to do what had to be done. A good man who was good at what he did; that is how I will remember him.
