Rebecca Haskell Obituary
1982 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Rebecca Ann Haskell, 31, of Pittsfield, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 10, 2014. Born in Pittsfield on Nov. 25, 1982, the daughter of Jack R. Haskell and Karen Loveday Flynn, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School, Berkshire Community College, and the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, from where she was very happy to be graduating this Saturday. For the past two years, Miss Haskell had been employed by The Brien Center, where she was a house manager. Her two sons were her pride and joy. She delighted in taking them to their sporting events and school functions. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and their "Girls Night Out," and attending family events. Miss Haskell is survived by her mother, Karen Flynn and her companion, Thomas Barrett, III., of Pittsfield; her father, Jack Haskell and his husband, David Lince, of Largo, Fla.; two sons, Caimin Ketchum and Avry Haskell-Ellerbee, both of Pittsfield; her grandparents, Jane and Carl Mazza of Pittsfield; her sister, Ashlie Haskell, of Pittsfield; Caimin's loving father and true friend, Matthew Ketchum of Pittsfield; Avry's father, Valente Ellerbee, and many aunts and uncles, including June and Edward Drake. She was predeceased by her grandfather, John R. Haskell Sr., and her maternal grandparents, Constance and Eugene Loveday. FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Rebecca Ann Haskell will be held Thursday, May 15, from 4 to 7 p.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 16, at 11 a.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield, with Pastor Sigmund Sadzinski officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Kids Place in care of the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.

So many memories are running through my mind as I stare at this blank box, attempting to filter to one that stands out. But the truth is they all stand out. I can remember all the way to the beginning when I first met Becky, every meeting, laugh, smile, was always awesome. You are a soul that will be greatly missed. My condolences to Jack, Ashlie, Karen. I also give my condolences to the community for loosing such an admirable woman that had so much to live for and so much more to work for. To Ashlie and family,
The first time I met Becky was in gym class at PHS. Neither of us liked to change for gym class so most of the time we would sit on the mats and she would french braid my hair (: She had a charismatic personality and we instantly became friends often going to Wendy's after school or sometimes during biology.. I will never forget the fun parties at her dads house, the crazy nights at sneaky Pete's and just being young and care free driving around listening to music in the car. She had the greatest group of friends that loved her so much. I will always remember Becki as a hard worker, and a great mother. Iam sure she is watching over you all right now. My thoughts and prayers are with you all and I will never forget her.

Becky was such a beautiful young woman who always was smiling that gorgeous smile of hers. We went to school together and I remember always admiring how nice she looked, it's like her look matched her happy image. After graduating, I bumped into Becky many times, always greeting each other with a warm hug and having that 5 minute catch-up chat. My heart goes out to those handsome boys, even though I know in my heart she will be right beside them for all their days to come. Becky, I have known you since you were such a little girl and it was such an honor to have been a part of you and all of your families lives. For your obituary that has been posted today in the Eagle I am just shocked to see how many people truly have crossed paths w/you and such a loved person.
