1940 - 2015 BECKET Richard J. Avalle 75, a resident of Brooker Hill Road passed away at his home in FL on Friday, October 30, 2015. Richard was born in Pittsfield on March 9, 1940, he was the son of the late Frank Avalle and Antonette Contenta Avalle. He served in the Army National Guard. He worked for Beloit for 30 plus years. He had a passion for cooking, which he volunteered his cooking time and skills to The Boy Scouts of American and The United Way. He also was a Volunteer Fire Fighter for the town of Becket. Richard is survived by his wife of 43 years, Beverly A. Avalle, and their two sons, Keith R. Avalle and his wife, Peggy, of Becket, James R. Avalle, of Dalton, step-son, John Avalle, and his wife, Margaret, of Bradenton, FL, stepdaughter, Deborah Avalle, of Bradenton, FL, his brother, James Avalle, and his wife, Dawn, of Bradenton, FL, three grandchildren, Hannah, Molly and Summer Avalle. Richard is predeceased by his brother, Frank W. Avalle Sr. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services to be held at Becket Firehouse on Rt. 8 by The Becket General Store, on November 22, 2015 from 3pm to 6pm. Ceremony to be held at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Western Massachusetts Council, Boy Scouts of America in memory of Dick Avalle, 2 South St, Suite 125, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
