Sandra Kipp Obituary

Sandra Marie Kipp, 55, of Middle Pownal Road, Bennington, Vt., died Saturday morning, May 1, 2004, at her home. Death followed a long illness.
Born in Bennington on May 4, 1948, she was the daughter of Roscoe and Marguerite June (Barber) Harrington. She received her education in Hoosick Falls, N.Y., schools and was a graduate of the Mary McClellan Hospital School of X-Ray Technology.
In earlier years, she worked in the X-ray department at Leonard Hospital in Troy, N.Y.
After returning to Bennington to live, Mrs. Kipp was employed by Gladstone’s Shoe Store in Bennington. While living in Stamford, Vt., she was a school bus driver for the Sullivan Bus Co. She also has been an X-ray technician at the Putnam Memorial Hospital and currently was employed at the Taconic Orthopaedics P.C. in Bennington for many years.
Her interests included doing crafts, camping, volunteering with the Cub Scouts and the Boy Scouts.
She leaves her husband, Paul R. Kipp, whom she married July 6, 1968, in Hoosick, N.Y.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brent and Rachel Kipp of Pownal and Eric and Alison Kipp of Bennington:; five grandchildren; and a brother, Roscoe Harrington of Bennington.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- At Sandra Kipp’s request, there will not be any funeral services held. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours are Tuesday, May 4, 6-9 p.m., at the E. P. Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. Bennington.
Memorial donations may be made to the Southwestern Vermont Regional Cancer Center or the Bennington Area Home Health Agency through the funeral home.

My prayers and love are with you all. Sandy was a great person and a wonderful wife and mother. I wish that I could be with there for you and if there is anything I can do please let me know. I remember all those crazy family reunions with Sandy,Donna and all of us just sitting around talking. She is truely in a better place and Paul she is diffently in heavan with Donna have that long awaited cup of tea with her side kick. May God help you deal with the lost of a wife, mother and grandmother. Together you will find the strength you need to support each other. Sandy with the help of Paul raise very strong wonderful young man and I know how very proud she was of the both you. Paul hold on to the strength that the boys and the grandchildren can give you at this time, they will be your rock. She was a good friend. Love you all.

I will always remember Sandy's laugh and her sense of humor. At many family gatherings, her boisterous laugh could be heard all around. She was a wonderful person and she will be missed by all of us who knew her. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
