Thomas Lis Obituary
Born August 20, 1980, he was the son of Thomas R. and Louise R. Lis. He was a student of Berkshire Country Day School and attended the former St. Joseph's Central High School. While there, Tom simultaneously enrolled at Berkshire Community College graduating in 1998 with an Associate Degree in computer science. Continuing his education, he graduated from BCC with his Associate Degree in nursing in 2008.
Tom moved to Florida and made his home in Palm Harbor. At the time of his death, he was a registered nurse in the PACU unit at Meade Dunedin hospital in Dunedin, FL.
In addition to his parents of Pittsfield, Tom is survived by his sisters, Kristine Lis Boomsma and her children Dylan and Delaney, Suzanne Paul, and her children Taryn and Tabor. Tom is also survived by his twin brothers, Jason and Justin Lis, his very dear friends Joanne Parker, the Gaviorno family, Eva Marcus, Joy and Tom Hayes, and his beloved dog, Gretchen Anja.
Committal services took place at St. Joseph's Cemetery officiated by Rev. A. Peter Gregory, pastor Emeritus of St. Charles Church.
Because of Tom's love for rescue animals, donations in his memory may be made to the Eleanor Sonsoni Animal Shelter where he volunteered for many happy years.

To the entire Lis family I give my sincere condolences. Thom and I go way back. We met a Hillcrest Commons and became fat friends. We shared the same birthday, but not the year. We went on many vacations to celebrate. Even though we didn´t speak every day, we always were available to each other. I´m so saddened by this new. May you Rest In Peace my beautiful friend.

I am at a loss with the passing of Tom. Tom had such an amazing laughter, humor and smile. So many fond memories with Tom when he was home and we all got together at my cousins Joanne Parker home. Tom till we meet again, may you sore with the angels, and may your broken heart finally heal.
