Jennifer Edstrom Obituary

Jennifer Edstrom
Leroy Michigan
July 9, 2025
Edstrom, Jennifer Kathleen 05/10/1976 07/09/2025. Jennifer Edstrom (Jenny) was born to Gary Edstrom and Carole (Curtis) Edstrom of Leroy, Michigan on May 10, 1976, the third of three children and their only daughter.
Left to mourn her passing are Jenny's parents, Gary and Carole; as well as her husband, Kevin Jones; their children, Wyatt and Emelia (Emmy) Jones; her big brothers, Jerry (Lynette) Edstrom and Jamie (Sheri) Edstrom; her loving extended family; her dogs, Bailey Bailey Bailey Jones, Daisy, Chewy, and Tater; and her lifelong work partner, Kelby Klassen.
Jenny was a Proud graduate of Pine River High School class of 1994. She then went on to Davenport College until 1996 to earn her Paramedic license. Jenny was a member of the Leroy Rose Lake Fire Department serving alongside many family members as well as her neighbors and friends. A lifelong Paramedic, Jenny served her community with skill and integrity. Throughout her career with Osceola County EMS and Mecosta County EMS, she built many strong relationships among her peers and co-workers. She leaves behind a legacy of well-educated Emergency Medical Technicians.
Jenny was loved by many people far and wide. Her absence will leave a gaping hole in the hearts of her family, friends, the town of Leroy, Osceola County, and the Paramedicine Community.
Jenny's short but fierce battle with illness was made easier by the constant presence of her husband at her bedside, the enduring love from Wyatt and Emmy and her extended family, her very brave and loving friend Kristen Buff, all of the many prayers of her friends and family, and finally by the loving people at Meceola Curry Comfort Care.
Jenny was preceded in death by many friends and family members, too numerous to list. She was welcomed into Heaven by her furbabies Annabeth, Callie, Molly, Smallie, Chewy, and Bo, and her beloved horse Lilly.
On Monday, July 14, 2025 The family will greet mourners from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at The Reed City Church of the Nazarene. 5300 S 220th Ave Reed City MI 49677.
Services will follow at the Reed City High School Gym 225 W Church Ave, Reed City MI 49677 with full honor guard. Please arrive and be seated by 4:00 p.m.
Should you wish to make a monetary contribution to the family, please contact Osceola County EMS billing office. Or, if preferred, make a direct donation in her memory to Meceola Curry Comfort Care Home.
The family was generously served by Pruitt Livingston Funeral Home, Reed City MI.

I had the pleasure of employing Jenny as a tech when I undertook forensic pathology coverage for several counties while she was in Mecosta EMS. She was a great friend, a talented and bright woman, a meticulous worker, and will be missed by so many. From our family to your family and friends Jenny, you will be always remembered fondly. Rest in peace.

This woman has been such a blessing in the public services community. She encouraged my son to reach his goals in the paramedicine field. He worked beside her as an EMT. We need more mentors like her in this world. She will be missed dearly.

My sincere and heart felt condolences to the Edstrom Family and her extended FIRE & EMS community/family. Jenny was as genuine & authentic of a person as you would ever want to meet.......and a consummate FIRE & EMS professional. Her smile and effervescent personality will be missed.
