ROCKFORD -- Mrs. Sharon "Judy" Ann Parmer, 75, of Rockford, formerly of Howard City, 75, passed away in the comfort of her daughter's home during the early morning hours of Monday, May 21, 2018
Judy was born on July 21, 1942, in Ann Arbor, to Clarence "Chili" and Lela (Carpenter) Norwood, who were well-known business people in the Howard City area for many years. One of her joys in life was her home in Florida, which she loved to frequent.
Judy is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Michael) Postma, of Rockford, and Sherry (Robert) Strickland, of Howard City; stepdaughter, Tammy Westerville, of Ohio; stepsons, Charles (Karlene) Parmer, Jr., John (Amanda) Parmer, Rich Parmer and Robert Parmer; sister, Phyllis West, of Stanton; several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, whom she loved to cherish and spend time with; and numerous nieces, nephews and other beloved members of the family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Parmer, in 2013; and stepdaughters, Sue and Angela Parmer.
The funeral service will be conducted by Pastor CJ den Dulk at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Pederson Funeral Home, 127 N. Monroe Street NE, Rockford, MI 49341. There will be a one-hour visitation prior to the service. Judy will be laid to rest in Reynolds Township Cemetery in Howard City. Due to the nature of Judy's lengthy illness, contributions to the needs of the family would be greatly appreciated.
