Susan Marie Edwards, age 78 of Chippewa Lake, MI, passed away peacefully, at her home, with her family at her side on Friday, October 17, 2025.
Born on March 2,1947 in Grand Rapids, MI, where she was raised, Susan was the only child of the late Glen and Doris (Carr) Reichow. She graduated from Creston High School, Grand Rapids and went onto further her education at Ferris State College, where she met John Niles Edwards. They were married on December 9, 1967 and made their home in Lapeer, where they raised their two boys.
Susan could craft like you wouldn't believe. She showcased her creations at OLAH in Evart and was a dedicated participant at the Evergreen Festival Annual Craft Show in Reed City for approximately 30 years.
Susan was a member of the Barryton American Legion Women's Auxiliary.
Left to treasure, the memories they hold are: husband, John; sons, Chris (Michelle) and Andy (Denise) Edwards; two grandchildren, Brenden (Nichole) and Emily (Frankie) Edwards; step-grandson, Josh Montgomery; six great-grandchildren, Owen and Oliver Edwards, Skyler and Nolan Edwards & Elizabeth and Joshua Montgomery; and many cousins, extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, November 1st, at Chippewa Lake Cemetery with Sandra Keller officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Susan's name can be made to the Susan P. Wheatlake Cancer Center in Reed City.
