Charles David Roth went to be with his Lord on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at his home in Laurel, surrounded by his family.
He was born to David and Elizabeth Roth at their home in Park City, on March 10, 1934. He was the second of four children. He attended school in Park City and graduated in 1953. He excelled in sports, running track and playing basketball and his favorite sport, football. He was a member of the Montana National Guard and the Montana Army Reserve for six years. He was honorably discharged in 1962 with the rank of sergeant. After he graduated he worked at local farms until he was hired at the CENEX refinery in Laurel, in June 1960. He retired from there in 1996. Charles loved the outdoors and enjoyed taking his children and grandchildren fishing and camping.
He married Rosella Hart on May 4, 1957, having celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year. They had five children together. Charles Bentley (Christy) of Molt; Terri (Robert) Guenthner of Colfax, Washington; David (Nancy) of Richmond, Texas; Catherine of Molt; and Suzanne of Molt.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife's parents, Alex and Sarah Hart; his sister Susan Sheldon; his daughter-in-law, Carla (David) Roth; and his great-granddaughter, Bailey Denise Guenthner.
He is survived by his wife and children; his two sisters, Norma Kappel and Sandra Wells; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. We will miss you Grandpa.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 5, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Laurel.
