Clifford Bernard Garr

May 20, 1920 - March 24, 2007

Cliff was born May 20, 1920, in Livingston, to Bernard and Beatrice Garr. He spent most of his childhood in Salt Lake City. Summers were spent at Mystic Lake with his grandparents, enjoying fishing and all the activities of summer. He met the love of his life, Dorothy Schock, at Mystic Lake and was married July 3, 1942, in Billings. To this union, Michael W. and Steven G. were born.
Cliff and Dorothy worked in the shipyards in Seattle during WWII. During his 44 years with the Montana Power, Cliff worked at Mystic Lake, Houser Dam, Burke, Idaho, Missoula and Butte. Cliff enjoyed fishing, reading, golfing, bowling and making people laugh.
Cliff attended the University of Utah and was involved with the Masons and IBEW Union.
Cliff and Dorothy moved to Billings in October 2002 to be closer to family. Cliff and Dorothy resided at Aspen View and later Cliff moved to Highgate Senior Living.
Cliff passed away March 24, 2007, from a long-term illness. The family would like to thank the staff at Highgate Senior Living for all the loving care given Cliff during his stay.
Cliff was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Dorothy; and sister-in-law, Patricia Roemer.
Survivors include his children, Michael (Penny) Garr of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Steven (Alice) Garr of Billings; grandchildren, Michael C., Keri I. Garr; great-granddaughter, Jessi Irene of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; brother-in-law, Jack and Alice Roemer and family, John (Ginny) and Kathy (Cameron); stepsister, Martha and husband Lyle Churchill.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Smith Downtown Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
